One rate, whole balance
Your total declared value sets your bracket, and that rate applies to the entire balance — fees are not layered or stair-stepped. Because each bracket's rate applies to everything, crossing into a higher bracket lowers the rate on the whole account. Mixed holdings use the combined value to set the bracket, then charge each metal at its own rate within it. Silver carries a 1.5× multiple for the space it occupies. Annual minimum: $300 for gold-, platinum-, or palladium-predominant accounts; $400 for silver-predominant. One-time initiation fee at opening: $50.

Two ways to pay for storage
Storage-Inclusive
One wire, year one done
When you buy metal from us for vaulting, wire a single all-in amount. We allocate the first twelve months of storage and put the rest to metal — no separate storage invoice in year one.
Annual Billed
Invoiced on its own
The default for metal you bring us from elsewhere. Storage is billed separately — annually, semi-annually, or monthly by ACH — starting at deposit. The fee is identical either way; only the timing differs.
When you sell
The number we quote is the number we pay.
Sell-backs are priced against the live market and quoted in writing before you commit. Vaulted metal sells without leaving the building — no shipping, no re-verification, proceeds to your linked bank. Metal held elsewhere ships insured or comes to Chamblee by appointment.

Common questions about pricing
How much does segregated vault storage cost?
One rate card, fully segregated and fully insured. Storage is a flat percentage of declared value: your total declared value sets the bracket, and that one rate applies to your whole balance — fees are not stair-stepped or layered. Gold, platinum and palladium: 1.25% up to $50,000; 1.10% to $250,000; 1.00% to $1,000,000; 0.90% to $5,000,000; 0.80% above that, quoted individually. Silver is 1.5× base, so 1.88% / 1.65% / 1.50% / 1.35% / 1.20%. A $500,000 gold account pays 1.00% on the full $500,000 — $5,000 per year. Mixed holdings use the combined value to set the bracket, then charge each metal at its own rate within it. Annual minimum: $300 ($400 silver-predominant). One-time $50 initiation fee. Rate Card v3.0, effective August 2026.
What does it cost to sell metal back?
Sell-backs are quoted in writing at live pricing. Vaulted metal sells without leaving the building — no shipping fees — with proceeds settled to your linked bank.
Are there fees to fund a purchase?
ACH carries no fee. Card payments carry a 3.5% processing fee per purchase, stated before you authorize. Outgoing wires are $35. Purchase Credit — prepayment toward an upcoming acquisition — lets funds stand ready so a trade executes without wire delays; credit unused after its term is automatically returned.
What does shipping metal in or out cost?
Metal purchased from Alex Lexington is delivered to the vault free. External shipments in are $25 per shipment for intake and verification. One insured outbound shipment per year (up to $50,000 declared value) is included; additional shipments are $50 plus carrier costs. In-person pickup in Chamblee is free.
